Sunday, November 22nd, marks the end of the year! Not the calendar year, but the Christian year. The following Sunday, the First Sunday of Advent, begins the new Christian Year!
So, why do we celebrate Christ the King Sunday?
It is a celebration of the coming reign of Jesus Christ and the completion of creation. It is a day that we think about Christ being the "King" of our lives!
As we celebrate this event, let us take time to examine our lives. Is Jesus sitting on the throne of our lives? What are ways that in which you allow Jesus to be the "King" of your life?
Come worship with us on Wednesday at 7pm or Sunday at 9:30am as we explore this further!
My husband, Allan, and I moved to Estherville in June of 2015. We are excited to be here, and to be in ministry with Estherville UMC!
