So, this week our focus for the Committed to Christ Series is service. When we think about everything we do as a congregation over the base of a year it can seem like a lot, but there is still so much more we can be doing, whether it be small things that only takes us a few minutes to do, or perhaps some things take a longer term commitment.
Although our interests change at times, and what we are capable of doing changes; I strongly believe that as long as we are living there is something that we can be doing to serve God. There are always needs to be met, and it takes all of us living and acting as the body of Christ to make that happen. But, when we don't share the gifts or talents that we have been given then our piece of the body is missing.
How are you sharing your gifts and talents? Your time? What do you think is needed in our community? How can we partner with others to meet the needs of our community and beyond?
My husband, Allan, and I moved to Estherville in June of 2015. We are excited to be here, and to be in ministry with Estherville UMC!
