New Beginnings Capital Campaign
Hello and God Bless,
In 1973 the Estherville United Methodist Congregation decided to invest in the future of their church family by constructing the beautiful facility we still call our worship home. We have educated members and brought the word of God to all ages through the coldest of winters and hottest of summers.
Our facilities have served us faithfully for over 40 years. Our heating and air conditioning systems have also served us well for those 40 plus years. The time has come to reinvest in the future of our church family by updating to new energy efficient systems in our facility.
In this season of new beginnings, please consider stepping up with your church family and helping us with this campaign. Our goal is to raise $90,000. By crowd funding this project, many hands will carry a lighter load. Take a look through this web page for the details of this campaign and the many options available to help with this process.
We would like to thank you in advance for thoughtfully and prayerfully considering a pledge to your church's future. These are exciting times for our church family, new beginnings mean new opportunities for all.
Your friends in Christ,
The Estherville UMC Capital Campaign Committee

Frequently Asked Questions
Why Now?
Our furnaces have gotten to the age where the maintenance and inefficiency is costing our congregation a lot of money to maintain them.
What is being replaced?
There will be seven new furnaces and five new air conditioning units installed. We are also putting new heat exchangers in the boilers.
What is the warranty on the new units?
The new units will come with a ten year warranty and service agreement. All units will be serviced twice a year and tuned for maximum efficiency.
Will the new units be more efficient?
With the current units being over 40 years old we expect to increase efficiency by an estimated 20-30%. This along with new programmable thermostats will help reduce our energy bills by at least $400 a month in the cold winter months.
Are there any rebates available?
We will be receiving a $4,500 rebate from the gas company. There is also a rebate available for servicing the units yearly. We should receive $500 the first year and $1,200 each year thereafter until the program is no longer available. Although we can't count on the future of this program we will take advantage of it as long as it's available.
