The Healthy Church Initiative (HCI) is an intentional leadership development process designed to enhance the skills of pastors and laity to lead growing, vibrant, spirit-filled congregations. The process consists of three basic components: an ongoing series of workshops, a local church consultation, and individualized coaching. Pastors, staff, laity, and congregations are equipped through the HCI process to reach new people for Jesus Christ and to become the churches that God wants them to be in their communities. At every step, each church votes to confirm involvement in HCI. Iowa was first introduced to the Healthy Church Initiative in 2011. Conferences who use HCI have adapted the process to meet their ministry context, and the history of HCI in Iowa is no different. We offer continuing education credits to lay servants and pastors who desire it. - See more at: http://www.iaumc.org/hci#sthash.eHoCjVtr.dpuflick here to edit.
